The aniticpation is growing by the minute. Riders from both coasts are getting anxious. Eagerly wondering HOW MUCH LONGER TO IRIP??
It is time to set the wheels in motion. For number 3 we were not going to ease up on the throttle. Nah, that would be the easy thing to do.
In an effort to leave our guests overpampered and undercharged, we have set out to organize an event that will leave them proud.
MAY 14 - Arrive, check in, relax. No activities planned for the day
MAY 15 - For those that want to ride, we will hand out maps for small groups. No activities planned. Relax and catch up with old friends
MAY 16 - Day on Lake Taneycomo trout fishing with Mr. Orvis himself, Chooch AKA Joel Cuicci. Last year we kicked the organized events off with this fishing trip and it ended up being one of the most enjoyable days of them all. Chooch lends valuable tips and assistance free to everyone and the experience is one to remember. A headcount beforehand would be helpful but not necessary. Cost TBD with number of participants. We wrap up Tuesday night with a FREE dinner and Karaoke at The Cottages with MC Bob Cary. See who has the talent and who gets the gong. Fun for everyone guaranteed.
MAY 17 - Full day in Alpena, Arkansas with Andre (Frenchy) and Paula Chartrand. Talk about a stroke of luck. You could search the entire United States and never come up with a place as intensely "Indian" as the Indian Motocycle Cafe in Alpena AR. Less than a hour away from Indian Point, we will head out at 10 a.m. sharp for Alpena where Frenchy will pick you upon arrival and spoil you for the rest of the day. Frenchy is beyond words with excitement over this and has prepared the city of Alpena for a welcome like you will never forget. Food, bands, and an organized ride will be provided for all who attend. Preregistration is required for an accurate headcount.
MAY 18 - Thursday is the first of 2 scheduled breakfast meals. Here in the Ozarks, food is rarely healthy, but it sure is good. For those of you coming from the left coast of America, this will be a 5 star treat.
After breakfast, we have a special guest of our very own. Mr. Danny Flucke aka Fugdbdt from 4Seconds2Safety.com Knife Fighting/Defense Class.
Danny is an expert in Close Quarter Combat / Knife Fighting / Handgun And Sniper Defense Training and has GRACIOUSLY offered his services to the guests of the IRIP at no profit to himself. Even if you already are the most kickass biker around - And already carry your knife - Now you will finally know when and how to it - To protect yourself and those important to you.
You will also learn to recognize the four phases of any attack - Including your certified "Legal-Use-Of-Force" ladder.
Danny is booked out for the next 2 months solid and typically receives $160 per session for group training and $499 for private one-on-one training. He has agreed to a flat fee of $38.95 per participant to be returned 100% to a fund for FALLEN INDIAN RIDERS AND THEIR FAMILIES.
Handan and I are already signed up and we request you consider joining this class if for no other reason than the benevolent nature of the offer.
Classes are limited to the first 20 students and
Danny has said he will teach any and all who sign up. Classes
start at 10 a.m. in the Indian Point Convention Center.
Additionally, we are honored to once again have Frank Aliano from Blackhawk Motors, Posie from P&M Powertrains, and to top it off KC Cheef's favorite son - Joe Malfa from JAM Consulting. All 3 riders have agreed to perform another Q and A session for free offering and dispensing invaluable advice for the motors we love. If I had to pinpoint a single event that surprised me last year, this was it. The level of interest in hearing what Frank and Posie had to say was astounding and it is with great pleasure we turn the stage over to them for the IRIP.
MAY 19 - The 2nd breakfast of the IRIP will be served starting at 8 a.m. The menu will be typically Ozark unbelieveable and different from the the day prior, but still unhealthy and excellent. With Branson's Bike Rally in full swing several riders have requested we allow Friday to be a day of relaxation and cruising around in Branson. For those that want to hammer their bikes through town, this will be the time. The short ride maps will be handed out again for those that would like to experience different scenery in the Ozarks.
Before we let you go though, we have a special treat. Last year I made the grave mistake of deciding not to do a group photo. Several were dissappointed that I missed this opportunity and I apologize. I will not make that mistake again. So 12 o'clock sharp be ready with your best look to get involved in the BIGGEST Iron Indian photo ever!!!
Be back in time Friday night for a grand feast to close out the week. We can't tell you the menu at this time but promise you will leave the table in pain. Additionally, seems that our very own Village of Indian Point would like to recognize the fine citizens of Iron Indian with a proclamation.
MAY 20 - Galena here we come! The citizens of Galena still buzz about the day of Indian Motorcycles and have told me that there is a red carpet roll out waiting for us this year. This year's event will feature of full day of fun and games. Come and see what IRIP's favorite city and citizens have in store for you. Special guest speaking appearance by David Wright, President of Indian Motorcycles. Saturday's finale will include a concert that hopefully will leave you speechless and stunned from Ahz Akdeniz, 1996's Michelangelo Award Winner for Europe's Best Talent. Everything from Metallica to Gary Moore and all in between.
MAY 21 - Our day of pain.
