Frequently Asked Questions From Our Guests

The range of questions we receive each day vary from the ordinary to the remarkable. It still surprises us though when someone asks if we provide linens. (Are there really places out there that don’t?) or if we would consider renting one of our motorcycles to a guest while they are here. (We won’t) 

Although we are asked a wide variety of questions throughout the year, the following list is a compilation of the most common. If your question is not answered here or you would like further clarification please don’t hesitate to call us at 800 338 2842 and we will be more than happy to help

 

Do we accept pets?

The only pet friendly rooms we have available are 110, 111, 112, and 114. No other room or condo will be allowed to have a pet in them. Violations for breaking the No Pet policy will be a $250 cleaning fee and you will be asked to leave immediately with no refunds. For the 4 rooms we have set aside there will be a one- time $35 pet cleaning fee per room. You may not have more than one pet per room and this will be strictly enforced

Can we see the lake from our room?
Yes and no. Guests staying at the resort cannot see the lake as it is about 300 yards away. Condominiums however, are lakefront and most have a lakeview.
What is supplied?

Standard rooms: 

A small fridge, microwave and a coffee maker. Linens & towels. Initial stock for shampoo, soap and coffee.

Kitchenettes and apartments:

Full size fridge, microwave coffee maker, pots & pans, dishes, silverware. Linens and towels. We provide the initial stock for shampoo, soap and coffee.

Condominiums:

Full size kitchens are equipped with conventional oven with stove top, full size fridge, dishwasher, microwave, coffeemaker, pots and pans, dishes, cooking utensils. Linens & towels.Additionally,all condos have a private electric BBQ in their balconies. We do not allow gas or charcoal grills in the condos or at the property. We do not provide beach towels and guests are not allowed to use our towels for the pool or the lake. We provide the initial stock for dishwasher tablets and soap in the condos.

 

Do you have a pool?

Believe it or not, this is a very common question. Yes, we have a pool. In fact, we have 3 of them. 1 for the resort and 1 for each of the condos. It is important to note that guests cannot go from one location to the other to use a different pool as our insurance prohibits it. e.g. Rockwood guests must use Rockwood’s pool and so on.

 

What's your reservation and cancellation policy?

Resort rooms:  30 days and before the arrival date, full refund minus a $40 fee per room. This applies to standard rooms, kitchenettes and apartments. No refund on the advanced deposit if cancelled in less than 30 days to the arrival. No refund for early departure. You are responsible for the nights you have reserved. Minimum stay requirements apply.

Condominiums:  – 30 days and before the arrival date, full refund minus 10% of the reservation total per condo. (Not 10% of the advanced deposit made during booking.)  No refunds on the deposit if  cancelled  less than 30 days to the arrival date. No refund for early departures. You are responsible for the nights you have reserved. Minimum stay requirements apply.

 

How far are you from Branson and Silver Dollar City?

From our resort to the city limits of Branson it is approximately 6 miles. We are 2 miles south of Silver Dollar City

Do you have a marina? Do you rent boat slips?

Our resort is next to Indian Point Marina which is a full service marina offering everything from daily boat rentals to gasoline. Indian Point Marina also offers daily slip rental but you should call EARLY to get the reservations in. Hunter’s Friend does offer FREE boat slips with 11 of our condos for entire year.

Do you have non-smoking rooms?
All of our units are designated non-smoking, both at the resort and the condos. Smoking areas are available outside of the rooms and on the balcony of the condos.
Are your rooms handicap accessible?
Hunter’s Friend Resort and most of the condos are not designated as handicap accessible, but they are customer friendly. Here on Indian Point, virtually the entire peninsula is hilly and steep. Hunter’s Friend is built on level ground with easy access into the rooms. Guests who have difficulty with hills and steep stairs will be relieved to learn they can access their rooms easily. Of the condos that we have Rockwood 13, 14, 23, and 24 are all handicap accessible.
Rate information

Single rooms: Rate covers up to 4 people in each room.

2 bedroom apartments : Rate covers up to 6-8 people

Condominiums : Base rate covers up to 6 people. Kids 5 and under stay free. Extra person charges are $10 per person per night for anyone over the age of 5 after the first 6 people. Additionally, all condos have one time $95 cleaning fee.

 

What is your check in and check out times?

Check in time are 4 p.m. or later

Check out time is 10 a.m. or earlier

IF we have your room/condo ready, we will do everything we can to get you in earlier – but we cannot and do not make any guarantees on this. We will guarantee your room/condo ready by 4 p.m. at least.
